Junior Software Developer

About the role

Prescient Edge is seeking a Junior Software Developer to apply working knowledge of web applications, relational databases, and related programming languages, tools, technologies, and standards. You will develop interfaces including interactive webpages and web services, prepare technical reports and documentation, and interface with government and civilian agencies. Responsibilities include analysis, coding, testing, documenting processes, and applications from detailed requirements, as well as participating in the preparation of specifications and developing software to deliver customer-focused end items. This role offers the opportunity to learn and gain real-world experience from a world-class organization while working closely with other developers to solve complex data challenges for the Government. Our primary focus is aviation platforms with external sensors for data collection and surveillance, with opportunities in mobile and marine environments.

Location: McLean, VA. Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Requirements

• Applies working knowledge of web applications, relational databases, and related programming languages, tools, technologies, and standards.
• Develops interfaces to include interactive webpages and web services.
• Possesses sufficient writing skills to prepare and generate technical reports and other documentation pertinent to the position.
• Interfaces with government and civilian agencies as required.
• Responsible for analysis, coding, testing, documenting processes, and applications from detailed requirements.
• Participates in the preparation of specifications, developing software through delivering customer-focused end items.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
