Junior Software Developer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our team in Doral, FL. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support backend web services, application logic, and RESTful APIs.Assist in designing, developing, and unit testing responsive front-end user interfaces and web components.Collaborate with cross-functional development teams in Agile software ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.Help troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application deficiencies to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.Develop and optimize database scripts, queries, and schemas within relational database management systems.Containerize applications and assist with automated deployments, configuration management, and version control workflows.Assist in creating and updating user documentation, technical specifications, and system architectural diagrams. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM discipline. A bachelor’s degree can be substituted for four (4) or more years of relevant experience.Foundational experience developing in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.Basic familiarity with front-end web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.Understanding of database fundamentals and experience writing standard SQL queries. Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.Familiarity with application containerization tools like Docker and automated configuration tools like Ansible.Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and cloud-hosted environments.Active CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire). Clearance Requirements Must be a US CitizenMust be eligible to obtain and maintain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
