This position supports the Dahlgren, VA team for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Electromagnetic Effects Division.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment necessary to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing and certification of DoD and non-DoD developmental and operational weapon and electronic systems.
- Determine if systems under evaluation meet E3 design specifications and assess their ability to function in intended operational electromagnetic environments from both safety and reliability standpoints.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
- Engage in direct customer interface and communication, collaborating as part of a team for a variety of test events.
Requirements
- One (1) year of general experience in electronics, physics, or RF systems.
- Knowledge of using one or more of the following: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and Time Domain Reflectometers (TDRs).
- Active Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required to obtain clearance).
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training beyond high school.
Pay
Starting hourly rate: $24.68. Actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
