About the role
We are seeking a hands-on RF Engineering Technician to support the repair, troubleshooting, and testing of complex electronic and RF equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bench-level work, solving technical problems, and working closely with engineering and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair RF and electronic equipment down to the component level
- Diagnose operational failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipment
- Repair and test printed circuit boards, amplifiers, multiplexing systems, and related components
- Align, calibrate, and adjust equipment per engineering specifications and documented procedures
- Replace or reconstruct defective electronic and mechanical components
- Review and apply engineering change notices (ECNs)
- Perform functional and performance testing to ensure equipment meets required standards
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, calibrations, and test results in a database system
- Support investigations and collaborate with Production, Test, Engineering, and Field Service teams
- Aid with additional technical tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in electronics or RF repair / test technician roles
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electronic components and circuits
- Experience working with: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, RF / microwave (MW) systems
- Ability to perform component-level diagnostics and repair
- Comfortable using hand tools for mechanical and electronic work
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF and microwave systems
- Familiarity with test equipment and circuit testing methodologies
- Background working with: Printed circuit boards (PCBs), Amplifiers, Multiplexing systems
- Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
