It’s about learning what our engineers do, understanding the work behind the acronyms, and finding talented people who can make an impact—even when the right candidate isn’t sitting neatly at the top of a search result. While you don’t need to be an engineer to recruit here, you should be curious enough to understand the people who are.

We’re looking for someone with the ability to learn quickly, remain composed when priorities shift, and take ownership without waiting for every next step to be assigned. We favor those with initiative, good judgment, relentless follow-through, and the confidence to ask questions today so they can operate independently tomorrow.

You’ll work alongside our Recruiting Lead, learning the art of sourcing passive talent, building Boolean searches, managing candidate pipelines, and navigating federal and cleared staffing. Federal recruiting comes with its own terminology (e.g., DoD, TS/SCI, LCAT), and we’ll help you get fluent.

Responsibilities

• Source active and passive candidates using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, job boards, ATS/resume databases, referrals, and professional networks.
• Research unfamiliar roles and translate requirements into effective candidate searches.
• Develop personalized outreach and engage prospective candidates by phone, email, social media, and other channels.
• Build and maintain pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
• Conduct initial candidate screens and evaluate qualifications against position requirements.
• Gather relevant information including skills, experience, certifications, clearance status, availability, location, and compensation expectations.
• Prepare qualified candidate submittals for the Recruiting Lead and hiring managers.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent candidate communication.
• Track candidates from outreach through submission, interview, selection, and disposition.
• Proactively identify and resolve stalls in the hiring process.
• Maintain accurate candidate activity and pipeline status in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the federal and mission-oriented programs we support.
• Associate’s degree or pursuing a bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience in recruiting, sourcing, staffing, talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, HR, or a related people-focused role.
• General knowledge of recruiting, sourcing, and candidate engagement.
• Familiarity with job boards, LinkedIn, resume databases, an ATS, or similar recruiting tools.
• Basic Boolean search knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to absorb unfamiliar terminology, positions, and concepts quickly.
• Comfort managing multiple and changing priorities.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Professional maturity, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
