Junior Recruiter
About the role
Support a variety of duties related to recruiting and talent acquisition, documentation, and proposal efforts for a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiatives across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing position descriptions and specifications.
- Utilize databases, online employment sites (e.g. LinkedIn), social media, and other resources to fill open positions.
- Conduct candidate screenings to assist in moving candidates through the recruitment process.
- Conduct interviews in alignment with managers and leadership team members to assess candidates’ capabilities.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of talent pipelines for current and future technical job openings.
- Source and review applicants for open positions.
- Promote the company's reputation and build rapport with prospective candidates to create a candidate-centric relationship.
- Evaluate candidate skills, experience, and qualifications using a pre-screening question rating scale.
- Craft and send personalized recruiting emails for current job openings to passive candidates.
- Assist in closing out open positions and candidates in a timely manner once positions are filled.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience with recruiting (candidates with more than 2 years of experience will not be considered).
- Base level knowledge of technology and recruitment processes.
- Previous experience parsing resumes for specific skills and qualifications.
- Previous experience scheduling phone, video, and in-person interviews.
- Proficiency with MS products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferences
- Government and/or technical recruiting experience.
- Previous experience conducting multiple interview types (e.g., structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions).
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Breezy, ADP, Greenhouse, or Lever.
