Junior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Remedial Construction team in Ballston Spa, NY. This position will work closely with the environmental program manager, field service manager, environmental and mechanical engineers, and other project managers within our group to advance and grow our environmental construction group in the Ballston Spa office.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership in a matrix organization.
• Initiate, plan, execute, build a comprehensive work plan, control and manage risks, scope, schedule, and budget, and close out projects.
• Manage subcontractors on projects.
• Serve as the main point of contact between subcontractors and the client, monitoring and measuring project performance throughout the project and resolving any contract disputes related to cost, scope, and schedule.

Requirements

• Preferred minimum of 3 to 10+ years of project manager experience.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working under a state contract and completing solicitations for subcontractors is a plus.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work daily.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (a plus; will train the right candidate).
• 10-hour Construction Safety certification (a plus; will train the right candidate).

Pay

Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
