Junior Power Apps Developer
Everforth ECS is seeking a Junior Power Apps Developer to work in a hybrid schedule in our Arlington, VA office. In this role, you will work alongside senior software engineers, database admins, SharePoint SMEs, and cross-functional project teams supporting high-visibility Federal customers. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career developer or recent graduate with hands-on foundational experience in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams, and Dynamics 365) who is eager to learn, build, and modernize enterprise low-code applications in a collaborative public sector environment. This is not an internal IT support or help desk role.
Responsibilities
- App Development: Assist in designing, building, and maintaining entry-to-mid-level Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven apps) with intuitive user interfaces.
- Automations & Workflows: Create and troubleshoot basic-to-intermediate Power Automate cloud flows to streamline business processes and move data across systems.
- Data Integration: Utilize out-of-the-box (OOTB) connectors to connect Power Apps and Flows with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint Online, Dataverse/Common Data Service, Outlook, OneDrive).
- Legacy Modernization: Support the team in migrating and re-engineering legacy forms and workflows (e.g., InfoPath, SharePoint Designer) into modern Power Platform solutions.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, bug fixing, and basic security/vulnerability remediation on developed components before deployment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in Agile stand-ups, document user guides, and communicate progress and proposed designs to team leads, senior developers, and functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain/maintain DHS Public Trust Suitability (EOD).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent practical experience / certifications.
- 2 years of hands-on experience building Canvas and/or Model-Driven Power Apps and Power Automate flows (academic projects, internships, or professional experience accepted).
- Foundational understanding of relational database concepts (Dataverse, SQL, or SharePoint Lists as data sources).
- Basic understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving abilities, detail orientation, and a desire to learn new technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Graph API).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps.
- Introductory knowledge or interest in Microsoft Power BI integration, Power Platform governance/security baselines, or federal cloud environments (GCC/GCC High).
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals or PL-100/PL-200).
- Basic experience or coursework in SQL or JavaScript.
