Junior PI Systems Administrator (AVEVA PI & Industrial Data Historian)

About the role
Join a dynamic team as a Junior AVEVA PI Administrator supporting critical Electric and Gas Control Center operations. This role involves maintaining and enhancing large-scale PI Data Historian infrastructure, ensuring high availability and seamless integration with enterprise systems. You will design, develop, and support PI solutions—including dashboards, analytics, and interfaces—while proactively troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues in a 24/7 operational environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in industrial data management, system architecture, and enterprise analytics within a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
In this hybrid role, you will work onsite in New York, NY three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) and remotely two days (Monday and Friday).
Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise PI system components (PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision).
- Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop bespoke applications and dashboards using AVEVA/OSIsoft tools.
- Support enterprise-wide data integration.
- Respond to system alerts around the clock.
- Perform system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, including ITIL processes.
- Develop technical documentation and deliver presentations.
Requirements
- Experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System architecture, administration, and integration.
- Proficiency with PI Data Historian, PI AF, and PI Vision high-availability implementations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting 24/7 enterprise operations.
- Programming and scripting skills in C#, .NET, PowerShell, SQL, and experience working with APIs and interfaces like OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI API.
- Knowledge of ITIL support practices and tools such as ServiceNow.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated, quick learner capable of independently managing projects.
