About the role
We are seeking a Senior AVEVA PI Administrator to lead the design, support, and enhancement of large-scale PI Data Historian environments supporting critical Electric and Gas Control Center operations. This role involves managing system architecture, ensuring continuous availability, and integrating diverse enterprise systems to deliver real-time analytics and operational insights in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability, disaster recovery solutions for enterprise-level PI environments.
- Manage and optimize AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System components, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces (PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, DNP3), and PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PI I4BA).
- Develop scripts and custom applications using PI SDK, AF SDK, PowerShell, C#, and SQL for dashboards, reports, and automation.
- Support mission-critical industrial systems with 24/7 availability, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and rapid incident response.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to convey complex technical concepts and drive operational excellence and data integrity.
Requirements
- Deep expertise with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces, and PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PI I4BA).
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining high-availability, disaster recovery solutions for enterprise PI environments.
- Strong background in scripting and coding with PI SDK, AF SDK, PowerShell, C#, and SQL.
- Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical industrial systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity considerations, and system safety principles.
- ITIL process knowledge, including experience with ServiceNow or similar support tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
