Senior PI Systems Administrator (AVEVA PI & Industrial Data Historian)

About the role
We are seeking a Senior AVEVA PI Administrator to lead the design, support, and enhancement of large-scale PI Data Historian environments supporting critical Electric and Gas Control Center operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment, implementing solutions that drive operational excellence and data integrity. As a key team member, you will manage system architecture, ensure continuous availability, and integrate diverse enterprise systems to deliver real-time analytics and operational insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain high-availability, disaster recovery solutions for enterprise-level PI environments.
- Manage system architecture for AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces (PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, DNP3), and PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PI I4BA).
- Develop scripting and coding solutions using PI SDK, AF SDK, PowerShell, C#, and SQL for dashboards, reports, and custom applications.
- Support mission-critical industrial systems with 24/7 availability, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and rapid incident response.
- Integrate diverse enterprise systems to deliver real-time analytics and operational insights.
- Apply ITIL processes using tools like ServiceNow or similar support platforms.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
- Deep expertise with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces (PI API, OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, PI to PI, DNP3), and PI Integrator for Business Analytics (PI I4BA).
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability, disaster recovery solutions for enterprise-level PI environments.
- Strong background in scripting and coding with PI SDK, AF SDK, PowerShell, C#, and SQL.
- Experience supporting mission-critical industrial systems with 24/7 availability, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and rapid incident response.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity considerations, and system safety principles.
- ITIL process knowledge, including experience with ServiceNow or similar support tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
