Junior Modeler - Construction Modeling
Responsibilities
A Junior Modeler at Walter P Moore has the responsibility for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of detailing principles and practices in broad areas. They bear primary responsibility for properly executing the accuracy and constructability of the project model(s).
The Junior Modeler assists in setting direction, outlining goals, and executing the project plan. Their roles include complex modeling, planning, organization, direction, and quality control of projects. They serve as a team leader through technical supervision and staff development.
They build concept models and connections to ensure alignment with the design team. They collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering consultants to develop engineering solutions. They oversee designs, review project specifications, and interpret applicable codes and industry standards.
The Junior Modeler guides and assists other modelers regarding issues such as codes, design criteria, and software. They provide guidance to team members regarding Walter P Moore assessment techniques, modeling standards, processes, and quality. They promote, exhibit, and communicate the Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), Extraordinary Employee Experience (EEX), and the firm's vision, mission, and purpose.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of prior experience with 2+ years of prior experience in Tekla steel detailing on complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage individuals and teams to complete tasks or projects.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated career growth that includes experience working on design teams for a variety of building or project types.
- Strong client-service attitude with the ability to multitask and accomplish multiple priorities.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
