Junior Metallurgist

About the role

The Junior Metallurgist will be working on Mineral Processing projects and will have experience with copper and precious metals Heap Leach and base metal flotation. Experience in operations and metallurgical testing will be well suited for this role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage metallurgical resources (equipment and technicians) to ensure metallurgical tests are performed: safely, accurately and on schedule
• Aid with set-up and layout of facility
• Interpret metallurgical test work results
• Liaise with clients to ensure their objectives are met
• Prepare quotations and proposals based on client needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• Metallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is required
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
• Three years experience in Flotation and Leaching

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in mineral processing; gold or copper processing preferred

Skills

Supervision, management, metallurgical testing, interpretation, liaison, quotation preparation, leadership, communication, and experience in Flotation and Leaching are key skills for this role.
