Junior MBD Engineer

Location: Waller, Texas (Onsite)

About the role

Our client, a leader in the automotive and embedded systems industry, is seeking a Junior MBD Engineer to join their engineering department supporting control system development and validation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and validate model‑based control algorithms for embedded systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Design control systems, develop models, and support auto‑code generation processes.
• Perform verification and validation activities including Model‑In‑the‑Loop (MIL) and Software‑In‑the‑Loop (SIL) testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for system integration and validation.
• Create technical documentation, test reports, and traceability artifacts to ensure quality standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Good understanding of control theory and closed‑loop control system design.
• Experience in auto code generation using Embedded Coder and MATLAB Coder.
• Hands‑on experience in model verification & validation (MIL/SIL).
• Knowledge of Embedded C and the software development lifecycle.
