About the role
Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Junior M&O Project Manager to support its Education Sector. This role will assist with the full lifecycle of assigned projects, coordinating and overseeing activities from pre-construction through project close-out.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and oversight of all facets of pre-construction, project development, bid/award, and the project close-out phase of all assigned projects
- Work closely with the Planning and Development Project Manager (PDPM) to validate existing site conditions in preparation of the project scope
- Draft concept drawings to assist with the visualization of the project scope
- Review feedback and proposed scopes of work from the design team and provide recommendations to the Planning and Development Project Manager (PDPM)
- Draft reports to the PDPM and management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects
- Clock with all pertinent public agencies to complete federal and state requirements as needed
- Clock with representatives from various utility and government agencies to obtain timely action on successive phases of project completion
- Absorb project budgets and ensure that budgets accurately reflect the status/progress of projects
- Absorb project status and overall planning, design, and construction project progress, and ensure the project scope stays within the approved project definition
- Absorb contracts, bids, and contract planning
- Develop project or program policy guidelines and procedures, and suggest improvements
- Recommend new developments and strategies affecting program objectives and results
- Work with technical personnel to estimate building costs and changes
- Maintain facility inventory maps with AutoCAD software
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Project/Construction Management, preferably in an educational facility or public agency project; involved in all phases of construction, including pre-construction activities and planning, monitoring construction progress, and close-out activities
- Experience in safety construction protocols, Cal OSHA requirements, and environmental procedures
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in architecture, engineering, or construction management
- Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential may be substituted for the required education
- Candidates who do not meet the education requirement may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis and demonstrate extensive proficiency in the duties indicated
- Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in Revit & Revit Enscape
- Proficient in Arc GIS
- Proficient in Asset and Work Management System (Maximo)
Salary Range
$100,000 to $120,000 yearly
