Responsibilities
- Aid in providing legal advice and counseling on general legal, compliance, and HR/labor-related matters.
- Support the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents.
- Monitor company policies and practices to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Aid in managing compliance programs and related documentation.
- Support in addressing HR and labor issues, including providing preliminary guidance on labor and employment matters, and assisting with dispute resolution processes.
- Contribute to legal research, prepare reports, and participate in legal training programs as needed.
- Collaborate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed or eligible to practice law in good standing in the state of Georgia or other jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years legal experience preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Exposure to contract drafting, compliance, and labor/employment issues preferred.
- Experience practicing law in engineering, automotive supply, or similar fields preferred.
- Experience with and exposure to corporate compliance, labor & employment issues, and safety & environmental issues preferred.
Skills

- Basic negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or remain stationary for extended periods while reviewing documents, conducting legal research, and working at a computer.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and office equipment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents, contracts, and regulatory materials.
- Ability to communicate effectively in meetings, presentations, and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and move between office and operational areas.
- Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, hearings, audits, or regulatory matters as required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under time-sensitive conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and legal matters simultaneously.
- Flexibility in working hours to support urgent legal matters, investigations, or coordination with global teams and external partners.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based environment within a manufacturing facility.
- Frequent use of computer systems for legal research, contract review, compliance tracking, and document management.
- Regular interaction with executive leadership, internal business teams, external counsel, and regulatory agencies.
- Occasional exposure to production or operational areas requiring adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
