Compensation: USD 44.94/hr - USD 63.13/hr
About the role
Vernovis is partnering with a leading energy organization to identify a Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead complex security initiatives across IT and business teams. This individual will manage multiple cybersecurity projects from initiation through delivery while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cybersecurity projects using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Develop and manage project deliverables including project charters, solution design documents, deployment plans, UAT approvals, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders while managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.
- Monitor project financials including budgeting, forecasting, capital vs. O&M spend, accruals, and resource capacity planning.
- Drive stakeholder communication, change management activities, and executive status reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Power BI to track progress and ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent project management experience).
- 3+ years of experience managing complex IT or cybersecurity projects across cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, SDLC methodologies, project budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Power BI, with excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification and/or Agile certifications such as PSM or PSPO.
- Experience with Archer, cybersecurity governance, policy management, compliance, risk assessments, or issue/exception tracking.
- Experience within the energy or utilities industry and familiarity with ITIL v3 or v4.
