BRMi is seeking a Junior Instructional Designer to support a large financial enterprise in a hybrid work environment in either Vienna, VA, Winchester, VA, or Pensacola, FL. Hybrid roles require in-office presence 3 days per week. In-person interviews will be required prior to any offer.
Responsibilities
A Junior Instructional Designer assists in creating educational and training materials, collaborating with experts, and applying instructional design principles to enhance learning experiences.
- Design and develop instructional materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training, training manuals, and instructional videos.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and senior instructional designers to gather content, insights, and ensure accuracy.
- Apply instructional design models and adult learning theories to create engaging, interactive, and effective learning experiences.
- Test and revise materials based on feedback and learner evaluations to improve effectiveness.
- Stay updated on instructional design trends and tools, including e-learning authoring software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Requirements
- Minimum 1–5 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Human Performance Improvement, or a related field.
- 1+ year of instructional design experience.
- Proficient with Articulate Rise and Storyline.
- Experience conducting needs analyses and developing performance-based learning solutions.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing:
- eLearning
- Virtual instructor-led training
- Job aids and performance support tools
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience partnering with SMEs and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
