Responsibilities
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Guide students through world and U.S. history and geography, focusing on responsible citizenship and America's place in global history.
- Use direct instruction techniques to lead students through a variety of activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Achieve award-winning results through a spiral curriculum reinforced by mathematical practices.
- Enable students to construct and understand scientific concepts through investigation and analysis using laboratory equipment, student readings, and interactive technology.
- Assess changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
- Maintain effective and efficient record-keeping procedures.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
- Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community members.
- Evaluate each student's learning capabilities and celebrate their accomplishments.
- Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character.
- Participate in training and staff meetings.
- Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating meetings as needed.
- Lift objects up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Sit for long periods at times, talk on the phone, stand, kneel, stoop, and maintain long periods of concentration.
- Travel between campuses as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain a current teaching certificate from within the state.
- Pass a criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located.
