Junior Full Stack Developer

About the Role

Citco Technology Management is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to join their team. This position will focus on developing and maintaining Recon Web applications, which manage the Reconciliation platform for the firm. The role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and developers globally.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in application development, particularly with JavaScript UI/UX frameworks (React/Material), and UI design patterns. Experience with Python scripting is also required. Familiarity with cloud development platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Web applications.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.
• Experience in web technologies, including JavaScript and JSON.
• Good knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience and understanding of single page applications, responsive web design, fluid layouts and positioning, browser behavior and compatibility, cross-browser issues and solutions.
• Communicate effectively with peers and leads.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues at OS, application and code levels.
• Learn, adapt, test/evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Write and execute unit & integration tests.
• Communicate detailed descriptions of functional changes and provide follow up support as required.
• Provide technical documentation to support the functional changes.

Qualifications

• You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience developing web applications using Javascript, Python and JSON.
• Strong technical skills in JavaScript UI/UX frameworks (React/Material).
• Sound knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience consuming REST or GraphQL based API’s from a SPA client.
• Any formal Cloud based training and any industry cloud related industry accredited certification is a plus.
• Any Cloud Development (AWS, Azure or GCP) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• A well-rounded individual capable of performing several roles with ability to work in a fast-paced, complex IT environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English.
• A self-driven and a good team player.
