About the role
A Junior Engineer, Bioreactors will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing bioreactor systems used in the production of biological products. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, particularly those related to biotechnology and process development.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize bioreactor systems for efficient and safe production processes.
- Develop and implement new bioprocess technologies using advanced computational methods and simulation software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including scientists, technicians, and project managers to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct experiments to validate design concepts and troubleshoot issues that arise during system operation.
- Write technical reports and present findings at internal meetings and external conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in bioreactor design and/or process development.
- Experience with bioprocessing techniques, including cell culture, fermentation, and downstream processing.
- Strong understanding of bioprocess modeling and simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and standards relevant to biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in bioprocess technology.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages commonly used in bioprocess development.
- Experience with bioreactor control systems and automation.
- Good communication and presentation skills.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
