Junior Engineer

About the Role

Work with and learn from senior engineers in the creation of CAD drawings, estimating costs, and providing customer service and technical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update CAD drawings for standard cutting tool products.
• Review customer order requests, compare to previous orders, and update CAD drawings as needed.
• Create CAD drawings for new special cutting tools by researching previous similar orders.
• Calculate quoted prices for special inquiries.
• Aid in the development and continuous improvement of procedures.
• Assist in retrieving historical and traceability information for new and previous requests.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in engineering or currently enrolled in a 2-year engineering program.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers.
• Proficiency in working with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry, and ability to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
