Junior DS Engineer

About the role

GDIT is seeking a Junior level DS (Distribution Systems) Engineer to support the BIM contract. The role involves providing technical expertise to modernize network design and implementation for Air Force and Space Force bases, with a focus on Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. The engineer will work closely with GDIT teams and base counterparts to plan, execute, test, and sustain wired network functionality, assist senior engineers, install equipment, perform fiber testing, document findings, and support project coordination and communication.

• Assist senior field engineers in troubleshooting problems and following established procedures to resolve issues.
• Support basic installation of equipment and infrastructure supporting the BIM contract.
