Junior Designer

About the role

PAYETTE is a leading architectural design firm specializing in complex buildings for medical and scientific research, academic teaching, healthcare, and corporate research. We offer a dynamic, collaborative environment that supports innovation and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and design of complex technical buildings such as research, healthcare, and laboratory facilities from design through construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for challenging projects.
• Create detailed drawings, models, and presentations using software like Revit and Rhino.
• Contribute to the development of design concepts and strategies that meet client needs and project requirements.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, and other architects to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture degree.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in an architectural firm.
• Strong design and visualization skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with various levels of individuals including clients, consultants, and architects.
• Outstanding physical model building skills.
• Able to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate on large teams, and work well under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience with Revit and/or Rhino.

• Project management and time management abilities.
