About the role
ITA is seeking a Junior Contract Administrator to join the team supporting our Headquarters in Newport News, Virginia. This role plays a key role in supporting a wide range of contracting activities, including proposal development, administration, and close-out processes to ensure maximization of business results and adherence to corporate policy and government regulations.
Responsibilities
- Track contract actions, milestones, and reporting deadlines to support timely execution
- Support the preparation, routing, and tracking of contract modifications and other related documents
- Review and analysis of Requests For Proposals (RFPs)
- Assist with invoice processing
- Learn to review all types of government contract awards and prime contractor awards, including analyzing and evaluating terms and funding, reviewing for compliance with bid, negotiating provisions, and mitigating risk
- Support and perform external government personnel and teaming partners liaison activities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather, verify, and organize contract-related information
- Learn to support contracts and subcontracts reports and deliverable requirements to the customer when necessary
- Assist with contract close-out activities, as required
- Learn to monitor assigned subcontractor performance and funding; assist with the negotiation and coordination of subcontract modifications and subcontract close-out activities, as required
- Support and develop positive working relationships with contracting officers of the U.S. government, prime contractors, the DCMA, and other related organizations
- Assist with special projects, as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
- 1 – 3 years’ experience
- Exposure to and knowledge of professional business administration processes
- Exposure to and knowledge of the legal implications of contract compliance
- Superior time management skills and proven ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through, internally and externally, to provide a positive customer or stakeholder experience
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self-directed with the ability to work with a sense of urgency to complete tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential documents and information
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of contractual requirements related to Department of Defense contracts
- Contracts management exposure
- Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint
- Proficiency in Power BI or data visualization tools

Pay
Pay range for this position is $36,000 - $50,000 annually. This position has a broad compensation range due to the complexities of government contracting, including contract pricing, labor category requirements, funding parameters, and varying levels of candidate experience and qualifications.
