Junior Buyer | Kent, Ohio

About the role

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Junior Buyer to support Field Operations through administrative, technical, and organizational tasks at our corporate office in Kent, OH. This is an onsite position with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Send requests for quotes and negotiate pricing and contracts.
• Enter purchase order information and maintain data integrity in SAP.
• Coordinate with distributors and suppliers.
• Expedite orders and communicate with top management.
• Accurately manage and transform data into Excel spreadsheets.
• Create graphs, diagrams, forms, and other documents.
• Create and track invoices and payments.
• Respond to email and telephone inquiries.
• Document processes.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Report timely and accurately to Manager.
• Serve as assistant to Purchasing Manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Previous experience in SAP.
• Aptitude for learning new software and systems quickly.
• 1-2 years of previous experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
