Junior Buyer

Essential Duties

• Maintains short- and long-term material requirement needs and implements plans for material availability using SAP.
• Controls the flow of material from suppliers to the production floor.
• Maintains supplier on-time delivery performance and escalates chronic issues to the commodity manager.
• Sends an open order report to suppliers weekly to ensure accuracy of the schedule.
• Maintains SAP to reflect the most up-to-date delivery schedule from suppliers.
• Maintains awareness of supplier shortages and communicates necessary actions to relevant teams.
• Maintains supplier quality levels and escalates chronic issues to the commodity manager.
• Daily expedites to ensure high service levels to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of operations/supply chain experience.
• Experience in ERP systems, particularly SAP, is desired.

Location

This position is located in Fredericksburg, VA. Preference will be given to candidates located within 60 miles of the Fredericksburg office.
