Main Responsibilities
- Purchasing and timely delivery of products for specialized categories within the Produce Department.
- Supply chain/inventory management for two promotionally active centers of store desk and corresponding financial accountabilities.
- Procure product in accordance with all policies and procedures established by the company.
- Manage store service levels at 97% or above.
- Maintain ongoing communication link with division retail teams and vendors to ensure proper understanding of promotional activity and adequate level of logistical support.
- Manage inventory levels and product rotation.
- Negotiate logistical elements that improve cost and efficiency (work with vendors and transportation).
- Evaluate suppliers’ offerings against key business criteria and product specifications.
- Work with Logistics Coordinator to help manage the timely and efficient flow of goods throughout the supply chain.
- Forecast and communicate weekly product needs for the Division using various tools and sources.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with brokers, vendors, store operations, distribution center and division office personnel.
- Handle E-Pass (billing and invoice discrepancies).
- Perform periodic product quality checks/walks in the distribution center.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Supply Chain Certificates, or equivalent experience required.
- Two plus years of Buying Experience.
- Retail operations management experience.
- Marketing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office programs.
- Good judgment and ability to achieve results with minimum supervision.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree, Supply Chain Certificates, or equivalent experience required.
- Two plus years of Buying Experience.
- Retail operations management experience.
- Marketing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Office programs.
- Good judgment and ability to achieve results with minimum supervision.
