About the role
TGS provides scientific data and intelligence to the global energy sector, enabling energy for all by unlocking vital, data-driven solutions and knowledge. This is a hands-on, developmental role providing day-to-day financial and reporting support for a designated business area, working closely with and under the guidance of the Business Controller, reporting to the Finance Director. The role is suited to candidates interested in developing their financial, analytical, and business partnering skills while contributing to accurate and efficient finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the assigned business area under the direction of the Business Controller.
- Assist with monitoring financial performance and preparing variance analysis, escalating observations and findings as appropriate.
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards for review and support accurate, timely reporting to Corporate in line with established processes.
- Support tracking of cost drivers and contribute data and analysis to help identify potential efficiency improvements.
- Assist with day-to-day monitoring of cash inflow and outflow in coordination with Treasury.
- Apply IFRS policies and TGS Alternative Performance Measures correctly in day-to-day work, with guidance from senior finance colleagues.
- Respond to day-to-day finance queries and support the Business Controller in interactions with business stakeholders.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis; recent graduates with relevant internships or placements are encouraged to apply.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data; exposure to ERP or reporting systems is an advantage.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn in a collaborative finance environment.
This role is office-based in Houston.
