About the Position:The Manager, Brand Creative will support the Director, Marketing and Brand Strategy in developing creative concepts and producing designed assets to elevate the Americares public profile. This role will design print and digital assets, develop creative materials and translate brand/organizational vision into creative across campaigns and collateral. This role operates at the intersection of hands-on execution and creative concepting, taking concepts from project request to delivery with precision and a strong sense of craft. Duties and Responsibilities:Drive work from conception to final delivery while maintaining high creative standards and bridging high-level creative vision and daily executionCollaborate with team leads to set the design for projects across channels, generating and refining design concepts and incorporating feedbackDesign high-quality print and digital assets that resonate with a wide range of audiences and advance organizational goals across digital and print mediums, including but not limited to:Digital campaign assets (paid social, paid display advertising, digital OOH)Print materials (brochures, ads, reports, signage, print OOH)Event branding, invitations and branded promotional materialsInternal and executive presentationsProgrammatic presentations and infographics for partner outreachParticipate in rapid-response design efforts, producing timely and effective visual assets in response to urgent organizational or emergency response needsTranslate complex information into accessible graphics, reports and informational materialActively model and contribute to Americares values, work culture and mission.Engage in and contribute to team spaces with openness, global competencies, and a growth mindsetOther duties and responsibilities as assigned Key Outcomes:In the first 90 days:Learn and live Americares values.Complete all required new-hire onboarding trainings.Understand Americares mission, vision, purpose, structure and key programs.Begin establishing relationships within and outside of Marketing and Communications.Demonstrate a collaborative and proactive approach by actively engaging with other teams and colleagues, making contributions and providing support in achieving Marketing and Communications and Americares objectives.Understand Americares brand guidelines, style guide, visual identity, key assets (PPT template, at-a-glance, etc.) and messaging document.Understand Marketing and Communications project management systems, including Asana and project workflows.Begin handling routine design requests like resizing images and adjusting layouts.In the first 6 months:Participate in and bring visual concepts to project brainstorms.Refine and update key marketing and communications assets and outreach materials.Execute foundational design work, including templates, decks and programmatic outreach materials.Work with Brand Marketing team to incorporate client feedback and execute revisions.Develop Canva templates for key assets.In the first year:Explore opportunities to elevate the visual quality of all outward-facing materials, expand Americares visual brand and strengthen brand recognition and credibility.Be able to develop event visual identities and design systems, as well as Americares sub-brands.Adapt agency-developed key campaign art for a wide variety of channels to prepare for brand marketing campaign launch.Regularly design high-quality print and digital assets that resonate with a wide range of audiences and advance organizational goals across digital and print mediums.Be able to translate complex programmatic data into infographics, reports and mass-market materials.Be able to produce emergency response graphics on a quick timeline. Competencies required for the role include:Mastery of fundamental graphic design skills, concepts and file productionProficiency in visual storytelling, including translating marketing briefs into compelling, brand-aligned visual narrativesAbility to conceptualize, including contributing innovative ideas during brainstorming sessionsProficiency in industry-standard tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and CanvaBranding and visual identity knowledge, including the capacity to translate Americares strategic goals into consistent brand elements, including logos, color palettes and typographyReceptivity to feedback, including the ability to incorporate critiques from Marketing team members and/or clients and quickly iterate on designsTime management, including the ability to juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively These competencies are preferred but not required for the role:Fluency in languages that are spoken in at least one of our core locations (India, Philippines, Tanzania, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Colombia, etc.), in addition to EnglishExperience working with global teams, including producing marketing materials in many languagesExperience working at or with nonprofitsUnderstanding of the disaster-relief and global health (I)NGO sectors Additionally, our core competencies as an organization are:Ownership and resultsCommunicationProblem solvingEquity and inclusionTeamwork and conflict resolutionLeadershipPrioritizationManagementStrategy and planningDecision making Recruitment process for this role:Completed application and resumeVirtual interview with People and Talent (1 hour)Competency ExerciseVirtual Interview with Hiring Manager (1 hour)Panel Interview internal stakeholders (1 hour)OfferBackground checks and onboarding
