Junior Antitrust Litigation Associate

About the role

Junior Antitrust Litigation Associate Location: Chicago, IL A leading global law firm is seeking a junior Associate to join its Antitrust Litigation practice in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior litigator looking to develop specialist antitrust experience while building on a strong foundation in complex litigation. Deep antitrust experience is not required, making the position particularly attractive to commercial litigators interested in transitioning into the practice.

Responsibilities

• Work on sophisticated antitrust litigation matters
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings and other substantive litigation documents
• Manage discovery and key case workstreams
• Analyse issues arising under federal antitrust law, including the Sherman Act
• Assist with developing litigation strategy
• Work closely with experienced antitrust litigators
• Take increasing responsibility for matters and direct client contact as experience develops

Requirements

• Junior associate with strong foundational litigation experience
• Experience with legal research, drafting and discovery management
• Prior exposure to antitrust law is preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with the Sherman Act is advantageous
• Genuine interest in developing an antitrust litigation practice
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
• Strong commitment to client service

Compensation

Salary Range: $215,000 – $260,000 Associates may also be eligible for bonuses.
