Junior Analyst
Pay Rate: $66,000–110,000. Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities, will determine placement within the pay range.
About the Role
This position reports to the Senior Analyst. The Junior Analyst is responsible for a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory receipting and reconciliation, or a related financial area.
- Perform daily financial activities of the plant.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities and reports.
- Prepare, review, and investigate local reports (daily) prior to distribution.
- Maintain conformance to internal control systems.
- Complete monthly closing entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end closing activities to support Finance, including intercompany accounting, reclassification entries, balance sheet review, and P&L review.
- Review corporate entries for accuracy and provide documentation to the corporate Finance team.
- Assist in inventory analysis and inventory receipting; support reconciliations and review of physical inventories.
- Contact other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.
- Assist in budgeting preparation and control activities.
- Interact and communicate effectively with external and internal customers.
- Process A/P (limited), freight/utility invoices, and act as a point of contact for purchase order problem resolution.
- Monitor finished goods and work-in-process, including cycle count verification and third-party outsourced product tracking.
- Conduct trial balance and balance sheet reviews.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Aid in the execution of mill-wide quality efforts to maintain mill quality standards.
Requirements
- Two to three years of accounting experience or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- College degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and speaking).
- Must be a team player with attention to detail and the ability to analyze, problem-solve, and make good decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills; ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to handle details accurately and work overtime as needed.
