Junior Account Executive

About the Role

The South Bend Cubs have established themselves as one of the premier organizations in Minor League Baseball. The team has won Midwest League Championships in 2019 and 2022, was named Ballpark Digest's Best Ballpark in 2022 and 2023 and won the 2022 Golden Bobblehead Award. In addition, Four Winds Field recently underwent a $49 million stadium renovation, making this an exciting time to join the organization. This is a 10-month internship with a tentative start date of November 9th, concluding at the end of the 2027 baseball season. The Junior Account Executive will be responsible for selling individual and group tickets on a daily basis, while providing an exceptional level of customer service. This position will work closely with the Assistant General Manager of Ticket Sales and assist with the day-to-day operations of the ticket office.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and selling group and package tickets
• Hit weekly and monthly sales goals
• Manage various youth programs like our Caresource Camp Day
• Assist running the Will Call/Ticket Sales windows
• Supporting game day staff and helping maintain the gold-standard of guest services during events

Qualifications

• Interest in Minor League baseball, ticket sales or sports management
• Strong verbal and writing skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Individual must be energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated
• Ability to work event nights, weekends and holidays as required
• Superior problem-solver, with ability to work independently
• Effective organizational and follow-up skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Must be a team player and be willing to help in all areas of the business
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 2 hours

Compensation

• Stipend of $1,250 per month
• Commission structure with additional compensation ranging from $5,000 - $7,000+ pending sales performance
