About the role
Provide supportive care and activities for children between the ages of 3 months and 11 years, in the safest possible environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet each child and parent upon arrival and departure.
- Care for, relate to, and provide activities for a wide range of age groups.
- Effectively communicate to support parental needs.
- Maintain visual goals, keeping all activities monitored and enjoyable.
- Follow established procedures when equipment is found to be malfunctioning in an effort to return it to operational status within 24 hours, including posting appropriate status signage, notifying the MOD or maintenance personnel, and recording the problem in the equipment log binder.
- Remain knowledgeable and proficient in all facility rules, regulations, and policies and enforce when applicable.
- Maintain current information on all center programs, services, and activities, and promote them regularly.
- Respond to all emergency situations according to facility policy and procedures.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings.
- Assume other duties and projects as assigned.
