Job Description The Junior Web Designer will be responsible for supporting Implementation and Client Support teams through completing website design changes as requested by clients. Tasks may require both graphic design and coding knowledge (primarily HTML, CSS, and jQuery). This is a remote, entry-level position. Essential Functions Utilize HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery within our bespoke content management system to implement web solutions for a variety of tasks. (Note that we do not use WordPress or PHP on our platform.)Showcase strong written and verbal communication skills while working alongside other web designers and internal teams.Stay informed and ahead of industry trends, incorporating modern techniques in projects and designs.Balance work and due dates to ensure on-time completion of tasks.Ensure that quality of work meets the company’s high standards.Adapt to process changes while maintaining a positive attitude. Required Skills/Experience Associate Degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field1-3 years of work experience in web design, including responsive web designExcellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlinesStrong fundamental HTML/CSS skills (applicants should be able to hand-code, we do not use WordPress, PHP, etc.)Familiar with responsive web design conceptsAbility to solve problems creatively and effectively Preferred Skills/Experience Experience working with Content Management Systems.Basic knowledge of design principles: typography; color theory; and layoutFamiliarity with Bootstrap framework (Bootstrap 3+).Experience using Adobe Photoshop and IllustratorjQuery and JavaScript knowledgeExperience in the automotive industry. This position is open to US residents only. The targeted salary range for this position is $41,200 - $57,950. The posted salary range for this position may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; internal pay equity; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
