Jr Scrum Master

Position type: Contract (12 months)
Location: 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NC
This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

About the role

We are seeking a junior candidate with 2–3 years of hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification preferred
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
• Guide the team on Agile/Scrum practices and principles
• Remove blockers and foster a culture of accountability and transparency
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a well-groomed backlog
• Track and report team metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.)
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices
• Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a hybrid or remote team environment

Pay

Pay Range: $35–$38 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
