Jr. Project Control Cost Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Jr. Project Control Cost Analyst to join a fast-paced construction project team in Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project cost management activities, including budget tracking, cost monitoring, and forecasting.
• Aid in developing detailed project estimates using labor productivity rates, material takeoffs, and equipment costs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings, with a strong focus on mechanical scopes.
• Prepare and maintain cost reports, dashboards, and project tracking tools.
• Support change order documentation and ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules.
• Conduct cost studies, variance analyses, and other financial assessments to support project decision-making.
• Assist with project controls processes, including change management, cost forecasting, risk tracking, and earned value management.
• Maintain organized project documentation and cost records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous enhancement of project controls practices.

Qualifications

• Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cost estimating, quantity surveying, or project cost controls within the construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of construction methods, assemblies, and field sequencing.
• PREFERRED:
• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects such as: Data Centers, Manufacturing Facilities, Production Plants.
• Exposure to self-perform construction environments.
