Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for the end-to-end invoice settlement of physical and financial natural gas and power transactions, ensuring the accurate and timely exchange of cash for the firm's trading activities.
- Executing complex reconciliations of physical and financial invoices, auditing volume actuals against pipeline data, counterparty data, and ISO data.
- Collaborating extensively with the Credit and Accounting teams to manage counterparty aging and substantiate cash flows.
- Managing the broker confirmation process by reconciling daily recaps across business lines and resolving all price or volume breaks with traders by the end of the trade date.
- Ensuring internal trade capture systems mirror positions held at exchange clearinghouses and monitoring Exchange APIs to troubleshoot automated trade entries.
- Serving as a critical link between the Front Office, IT, and external partners.
- Complete other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- 0-1 years of professional experience.
- Strong discipline, and a results-oriented work ethic required to effectively support operational processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate and engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with colleagues.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Microsoft Excel skills a plus.
- Flexibility to work non-standard or extended hours as needed.
- Full-time onsite with potential to work remotely one day a week in the future.
