About the role
The Jr. Network Engineer will work in the Fort Meade, MD vicinity. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators, monitor and maintain the current infrastructure, improve system performance, and automate system administration.
- Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
- Conduct Computer Network Defense Operations, plan and install network upgrades, network design, and perform quality assurance and control.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or related discipline and three (3) years of relevant professional experience and training commensurate with network engineering curriculums or a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or related discipline and one (1) year of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support.
- Candidate must be Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or related discipline and three (3) years of relevant professional experience and training commensurate with network engineering curriculums or a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or related discipline and one (1) year of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support.
- Four (4) years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a Bachelors degree (six years for a Master’s).
Skills
- Ability to provide technical support to the Network Administrators and System Administrators.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and operations.
- Experience with network design and planning.
- Proficiency in conducting Computer Network Defense Operations.
- Ability to plan and install network upgrades.
- Experience with quality assurance and control in network environments.

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
