Job Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, facilities upkeep, or a related mechanical field (entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude may be considered).
Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical components (gears, bearings, belts)
- Familiarity with the safe operation of common hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
Preventive Maintenance
- Assist senior mechanics in performing routine preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Basic troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing issues under supervision.
- Utilize precision instruments effectively, including torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges, to ensure equipment meets exact specifications.
- Operate and maintain various mechanical systems, demonstrating a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, general diesel engine theory, pumps, and valves.
Technical Knowledge
- Maintain a very strong and strict adherence to all workplace safety guidelines, hazard controls, and operational instructions.
- Accurately follow complex instructions and technical procedures.
