Jr. IT Support Technician

Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to provide first-line technical support for end users across Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for Windows and macOS devices.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows PCs, Apple Mac, and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Enroll, configure, and manage endpoints using Microsoft InTune.
• Install, configure, and support Microsoft 365 applications.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printers, and connectivity issues.
• Perform software installations, updates, and security patching.
• Aid in onboarding and offboarding of employees, including device provisioning and account setup.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, procedures, and asset inventory.
• Procure hardware through approved suppliers and assist with software licenses.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff and other teams when required.
• Deliver excellent service level agreements (SLAs).
• Undertake other duties as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in an IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support role.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11, Apple macOS, mobile devices (both iOS and Android).
• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft InTune.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
• MS Certification preferred
• Apple Mac Certification preferred

Pay

The US base salary range for this position is $45,000 to $52,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, education, certifications and work location.

Schedule

This role is a hybrid position based in Chicago, IL on site at the client. This role will be required to be in office 2-3 days per week, with the ability to work from home the remaining days.
