Jr Investigative Media Analyst Remote
MBD Consultants (XG Consultants Group) is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong internet research skills and a background in social media analysis. Ideal candidates have a natural investigative mindset and a degree in English, Psychology, Sociology, Literature, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Communications, or Research.
About the role
This position involves conducting internet and media analysis on potential background screening candidates. You will spend many hours reviewing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) to analyze thousands of posts and comments for derogatory information. New employees must complete a 3-month probationary period before transitioning to a full-time Media Analyst role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive internet and social media research on individuals and businesses
- Analyze large volumes of posts and comments for relevant or derogatory information
- Write detailed reports on investigative findings
- Review content for grammatical accuracy
- Maintain high-quality output while performing repetitive tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred majors: English, Psychology, Sociology, Literature, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Communications, or Research)
- GPA of 3.5 or above
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Vast knowledge of social media platforms and internet research techniques
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
Pay
- First 2 months (training/probation, 480 hours): $15.00/hr ($31,200 annualized)
- Next 12 months (2,880 hours): $18.00/hr ($37,440 annualized)
- Second year (2,880 hours): $20.00/hr ($41,600 annualized)
- Third year: Pay varies based on skill and contributions
