Jr. Finance & Strategy Analyst

About the role

The Jr. Finance & Strategy Analyst will play a pivotal role in building and scaling Compa's finance function. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will provide deep financial insights and support across various departments including engineering, GTM, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support core FP&A workflows, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
• Build financial models and decision-making frameworks to support engineering, GTM, and product
• Partner cross-functionally with leaders to guide resource allocation (e.g., headcount planning, vendor spend, infrastructure investments)
• Drive ad hoc analyses on growth, pricing, unit economics, and strategic initiatives
• Contribute to board materials, investor reporting, and long-term planning
• Support day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, billing, taxes, and collections tracking
• Help implement and improve finance systems, reporting tools, and internal dashboards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
• 0–2 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance
• Strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel/Sheets proficiency required)
• Bias for action and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Strong ownership mindset; proactively identifying problems and driving solutions

Qualifications

• Nice to have:
• Worked in a startup or high-growth company
• Experience supporting R&D/engineering as a finance partner
• Experience with B2B SaaS sales motions
• Familiarity with pricing models or credits based pricing strategies
• Exposure to procurement, invoicing, or billing processes
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)
• Basic knowledge of Hubspot or other CRMs
