About the role
Support the Penetration Testing (Red Cell) Team, assessing and identifying system vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Help customers analyze and mitigate security vulnerabilities
- Perform and report on penetration testing of systems, including cloud, using methodologies like NIST SP 800-115 and PTES
- Stay abreast of current attack vectors and unique exploitation methods for computer networks
- Provide support to incident response teams through capability enhancement and reporting
- Assist in maintaining Red Cell infrastructure and develop/modify tools for automation (e.g., bash, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Basic understanding of networking and security principles
- Experience with evaluating system security configurations
- Understanding of common Web Application vulnerabilities (SQLi, XSS, CSRF, HTTP Flooding)
- Experience with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap
- Fundamentals of network routing & switching and assessing network device configurations
- Must possess and maintain one of the following certifications: CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CEH, CFR, Cloud+, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, or SCYBER
- U.S. citizenship required with an active Secret security clearance (Top Secret or TS/SCI preferred)
