About the role

The Business Analyst gathers and documents clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements from clients, ensuring thorough understanding to communicate business needs and system functionality to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community. This role serves as the ScrumMaster (utilizing Monday.com and/or JIRA) on campaign finance-related projects and coordinates with the PMO’s Project Manager for required artifacts and documentation. On-site workdays are Tuesday and Wednesday (no exceptions).

Responsibilities

• Document business requirements that are clear, unambiguous, testable, and satisfy business needs in accordance with standard templates and adherence to policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Create test plans with the business area, ensuring repeatable processes are in place beyond the lifecycle of the current project.
• Document repeatable steps and processes (technical documentation) for the business area to refer to as part of maintenance planning.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering meetings to identify impacted business processes and document project business requirements, including relevant project team members and stakeholders as identified in the Communication Plan.
• Adhere to the project schedule by developing and maintaining the project backlog during Agile projects and working with the product owner to set priorities throughout the project duration.
• Understand project scope and actively monitor the requirements process to maintain adherence to project objectives.
• Understand high-level information governance objectives and ensure appropriate stakeholder inclusion and/or awareness regarding data requirements.
• Resolve critical IT issues as they pertain to the Business Analyst role.
• Understand project-specific benefits and the impact of changes to project scope or business requirements.
• Ensure SEM (System Engineering Methodology) deliverables for the project that are the responsibility of the Business Analyst are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.
• Work directly with the project team, including vendor partners such as UI/UX designers, solution architects, database administrators, developers, and QA testers, to ensure understanding of requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of the IT solution.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 5 years of Quality Assurance knowledge.
• 5 years of Agile tool knowledge (comfortable creating epics, features, user stories, and managing project lifecycle in tools like Monday.com or JIRA).
• 5 years of understanding of BA, QA, and DEV roles and responsibilities.
• 5 years of experience with as-is/to-be processes and content creation.
• 3 years of experience creating product roadmaps.
• 3 years of familiarity with Project Management Methodologies and Agile.
• 3 years of adeptness with BA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio).
