About the role
Amcor is currently seeking an individual to join our Neenah Maintenance team. A Millwright supports maintenance of all machinery in the Neenah Amcor facility. A valid WI State Journeyman Card is required for Millwright.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement work, including efforts with outside contractors.
- Plan modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications of local/national electric codes.
- Use design specifications to properly install new equipment and calculate loads of equipment for proper installation.
- Prepare sketches or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceiling, and flooring.
- Use test instruments to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Evaluate and return instruments for repair and calibration.
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts, adhering to all plant and equipment safety requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
- Practice safety at all times in compliance with company safety mission and philosophy, including following lock-out/tag-out, electrical hot-work and confined space entry procedures.
- Adhere to plant housekeeping requirements and follow all good manufacturing practices.
- Adhere to all GMP and AIB policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards, as well as Amcor safety policies.
- Read and interpret blueprints and use basic shop inspection tools and equipment to ensure parts meet defined tolerance and quality expectations.
- Maintain the safe and proper use and care of shop tools and equipment.
- May perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trades workers.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
A valid WI State Journeyman Card is required for Millwright.
Pay
Starting pay is $39.52/hour, with double time paid on Sundays and holidays.
Schedule
The role involves a 12-hour rotating shift (6:30-6:30), switching from days to nights. Employees work either 3 or 4 shifts in a row, with 1, 3, or 7 days off in a row depending on their position in the 28-day shift rotation.
