Journeyman Lineman- Granby

Responsibilities

• Constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical facilities.
• Responding, investigating, and/or repairing service interruptions to ensure or provide prompt restoration of service.
• Assisting in evaluating the cause of the interruption to prevent future interruptions and provide continued reliability.
• Performing various duties related to member service including reading of meters, making service changes, troubleshooting service outages, making delinquent account collections, carrying out voltage tests, and completing outage reports.
• Participating in and maintaining availability for on-call rotations for outages and associated service interruptions after normal working hours, and on holidays and weekends.

Requirements

• A graduate of an approved power line apprentice course;
• Four (4) years' experience or 8500 hours of on-the-job training;
• Proof that they are a recognized Journeyman Lineman at another utility or have a recognized Journeyman Lineman Certificate.

Qualifications

• A valid Colorado Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Basic first aid and CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Must reside within a 45-minute response time of service area center, and within service territory.
