About the Role

This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world-class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction to prepare you for your next promotion.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Perform welding or brazing as needed
• Perform field measurements and installations as needed
• Assemble and install pipes and valves according to lay-out plan, blueprints, and other drawings
• Fabricate structural materials and pipes as needed
• Conduct pressure testing to ensure integrity
• Understand specifications and regulations related to plumbing and piping systems
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Eligible for employment in the US
• At least three (3) years of work experience in pipefitting
• Willing to work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces with proper safety training and protection)
• Undergo technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands-on assessment of skills
• Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
• Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment
• Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
• Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
• Work overtime on a regular basis and with last-minute notification
• Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
• Wear required safety equipment

Qualifications

Preferred skills and/or experience:

• Associate degree or certification(s) in millwright, machinist, welding, or pipefitting
• A minimum of 3 years work experience in pipefitting
• Relevant work experience in an industrial environment

Schedule

Full-Time Days (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday)

$42.62 per hour
