Responsibilities

• Participate in startup and commissioning of new HVAC units to support state-of-the-art facilities.
• Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues for resolution.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• EPA Universal certification.
• 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
• 3+ months of experience working with centrifugal chillers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, crawling, sitting, squatting, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience with Carrier, Trane, and Diken Air Cooled and Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers.
• Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC).
• Experience with data centers or steam turbines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of ServiceMax.
• Strong working knowledge of: 19XR, 30CF, and CDU chillers; air-side systems (constant volume, VAV); water-side systems (hot water, chilled water, condenser water).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is between $38.00 - $76.00 per hour. Factors affecting pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
