Traveling HVAC Data Center Chiller Technician -Journeyman- (Union)

What You’lldo

  • Travel to different Data Center Sites long-term rotational travel schedule (4weeks traveling / 1week off)
  • Participate in startup and commissioning of new units, applyingexpertiseto supporta state-of-the-artfacility.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
  • Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensuretimelyescalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
  • 3+ years working on Centrifugal Chillers
  • Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs
  • EPA Universal
  • Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat of extended period of time, climb a ladder, and the ability to work on rooftop
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License andbeinsurable by the company’s insurance carrier
  • Osha 30 Certification
  • Experience on Carrier, Trane and Daiken Air Cooled and Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers
  • Basic understanding of building automation controls (BOMAC)
  • Experience with data centers
  • Experience with Steam Turbines
  • Excellent communicationskillsboth written and verbal
  • Knowledge ofServiceMax
  • Strong working knowledge of:19XR, 30CF, and CDU chillers
  • Air‑side systems (constant volume, VAV)
  • Water‑side systems (hot water, chilled water, condenser water)

Valued, But Notrequired

  • OSHA 30 Certification

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $38.00- $76.00per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
